Formal X Casual Christmas Wish List

How are you all doing?
I find this year time flies so unbelievably fast and suddenly in a few days will be Christmas.
Does anyone of you have all of the gifts wrapped under the fab Christmas tree? Or perhaps some of you prefer to buy last-minute gifts? Some might wait until the sale started and some people do not even bother to celebrate Christmas.

Me personally, when I was living in Indonesia, I didn't celebrate it.
But of course since I moved to Switzerland, I am also taking part of this Christmas activities. What I could say the difference between Christmas celebration in Indonesia and Switzerland is that in Switzerland is rather tradition instead of religious festive. Everyone, doesn't matter from which religion you are, are taking part of this celebration. It is the time to gather with your family, friends and beloved ones. Time to reunite, looking back what we have done or simply to give nice goodies.
Speaking of nice goodies, year-end is the time when I give myself a treat.
Doesn't have to be pricey, but sometimes it can take some digits from my account *sigh*
This year I have so many favorite things and made my wish list become longer than ever!
In December usually I have a few Christmas events, both formal and casual dress code. So let me just share with you my wish list, they are classified for formal as well as casual.

Fall In Love With Fall

Slit Sweater Dress & Necklace: Zaful ¦ Bodysuit: H&M ¦ Hat: Zara (old) ¦ Jeans: Mango ¦
Bag: Miu Miu ¦ Shoes: Studio Pollini

I am definitely not a fan of fall.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to see how the leaves are changing color, the warmth of pumpkin soup, some people are getting even more romantic during autumn. I just feel uneasy knowing that the temperature is dropping and windy. Classic issues of a person from the tropic country.

As summer is about to fade away, well temporarily, I feel my days are getting busier.
Sometimes it's hard to describe, what caused you from being really busy. I just feel the day goes super fast and I haven't done so many things for my day. As if 24 hours in a day is not enough and my to do list is getting longer and longer. Am I the only one who feels this?

Slow Âge

Vichy Slow Âge

Most of people celebrate it when they're young and they don't want to talk about it when they grow old.
Who doesn't want to grow old gracefully? More mature, wise with charm?
However, what happen very often is only the ageing signs haunt us.
It is even worsen by bad habit, bad nutrition or bad lifestyle.
I am certain that so many of us wishing that if only we could push Pause button to slow our age.
But, could we really slow down our age?
The answer is: Yes, we can!

When it comes to art, there are various definitions.
Some crave for bizzareness, some need to have in abstract, some simply want minimalist.
I basically appreciate any kind of art, perhaps my favorite would be the street style art. The reason behind it because I could feel the freedom energy in street style art.

Spring for Summer

Gigi Burris Endless Ete Summer Raffia Hat

The word 'summer' seems so far away in case you are living in Switzerland. We are having bad weather here and it is quite depressing. I wish I were somewhere exotic with warm weather and my lightest clothes.
Since the rain is pouring almost the whole day, my browsing activity is going up. What I have found recently on the internet is Spring, the fashion company based in NYC. When my finger hit the their accessories shop, I was amazed. More than 800 brands to choose, am I sensing the SoHo vibe here? I have always such a long wishlist and now by checking those brands my list is getting longer!
Just because I am so keen to spend the time on the beach, let me share to you my Spring wishlist:
The summer hat on the photo above stole my heart immediately. Such an elegant cut and effortlessly chic. Stylish hat for summer is a must this year. Everytime I see this hat, my mind wonder to the golden year of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly where elegance was woman's secret weapon.

My mother in year 1966

I was born in a simple family from a talented active mother.
My mother used to work as a primary teacher. Teaching was her life. After years of teaching she then became the princlipal of one of the primary schools in my home town.
She loved her job, even after she retired she was still teaching at pre-school nearby our house.
So dedicated to her profession, sometimes I wish I could be like her.

Every mother is unique.
Sometimes she appears fragile but at the same time she could move the world. She shows her love to us in her special way; tenderly or even boldly. She is the source of our happiness and joy but sometimes she could make us cry.

Mother's Day is knocking on the door.
Perhaps some of you have done preperations to bring the big suprise to your mother. For today's edition, me - as a new mother - will not skip the chance to share some of the gift ideas for the first woman we saw after we were born.
To emphasize the first sentence I have written above, I will share different items since we know how special our mothers are.
